The body doesn’t lie.
Trust the body over any cognitive rationale.
When you’re carrying negative reactions, the body literally cannot BS you.
It shows you – 100% reliably – when you’re in a reaction instead of a response.
You can trust these signs of ‘not ok’ over any logical explanation you come up with to try and convince yourself you’re ok.
Here are some of the signs…
A churning stomach.
Tightness…tension.
Clenched jaw.
Repeated problems like headaches.
Inner urgency.
That leap of panic in the heart.
That drop.
Disrupted sleep.
Low energy.
Fuzzy headed-ness.
These are all alerts from the body telling you to deal with what’s causing these reactions.
So when you catch yourself starting to tell yourself a story…
– Well it’s bound to be like this…
– I can totally understand why they’ve done this…
– If they would stop doing that…then…
– Once I’ve got over this then…
– If I could just get this decision nailed down then…
– Looking on the bright side…
Stop and notice what you’re doing – rationalising yourself into ‘convinced’ I’m ok-ness.
You don’t want ‘convinced’ I’m ok-ness.
You just want the simple truth – *I’m ok*.
That’s what you get when you remove the source of the reaction that’s causing those unpleasant body-sensations.
In the absence of the reaction, you don’t need to convince yourself of anything.
In the absence of the reaction, you don’t need to rationalise how ok you are.
In the absence of the reaction, you don’t need to start reframing or finding the positive.
In the absence of the reaction, you don’t need to logically tell yourself you are capable and can handle this.
You just crack on with life.
Responding to life as it is.
Free from the reaction => rationalise => reaction => rationalise rollercoaster.
Imagine how much time and energy you’d save!
Revealing the real you
