He’d noticed all these places where he was holding back on what he really thought and it was causing him problems. It was fine where he was the boss. But in other contexts he wouldn’t push back, he wouldn’t challenge and he wouldn’t say what he was concerned about.
He would just go along with it, seemingly interested. Paying attention to their needs way above his own.
Of course this meant people thought he was fully on board. But he wasn’t. Which meant that when he didn’t follow through on his commitments, they got frustrated.
He was fed up not expressing his view. But he felt scared to do that.
What he wanted was to have the courage to challenge. To be prepared to create some boundaries. And stand by them. Rather than being pushed around in the breeze.
He was done with this apathy and letting people walk all over him.
After the 2-hour deep dive Foundations session he told me…
“I’ve had this feeling of confidence and grounded-ness. I’ve been more assertive and people have noticed – in a positive way.”
A few weeks later, he got in touch…
“Something’s shifted since we worked together. I’m really grateful for it.
I feel more confident and clearer.
I’m being more decisive and less fearful.
Thank you for this important work.”
Notice the simplicity of the words. That’s the kind of clarity and simplicity when you’re no longer full of emotional clutter.
I look forward to working with you for your confidence and clarity.
